Second Body is based on a practice of adding a more sensible and abstract perception to the everyday behaviors. Second Body starts as a theoretical discussion and progressively turns into something else, through the recontextualization and abstractization of all the usual postures, gestures and attention needed for the task. The discussion becomes more and more affected by this practice and its subject slowly becomes the body and its drift into a second, unknown body.
Second Body is a quest for a body that is not free as in the 1960s, not only deconstructed as in the seminal choreographic work of the 1990s, not only made into a provider of liveness and memory for the visitor to a contemporary art museum in the blooming experience economy of the 2000s.
